God is not formless. God has a form

Satyarth Prakash by Swami Dayanand says that God is formless whereas Holy Vedas say that God has a form.

  • Satyarth Prakash Chapter 7 (Saptamsamullas) page 149

  • Swamiji clearly describes God to be formless. This is completely opposite to what is written in the Vedas. Please see below

  • Yajurved Adhyay 5 Mantra 1 - Wrong translation by Swami Dayanand Saraswati

  • Correct Translation

  • “Agne TanuH Asi | Vishnve Tva Somasya Tanur' Asi || ”

It has been stated twice in this Mantra that Parmeshwar has a body. That Eternal Purush has a body for nurturing everyone i.e. when God, comes as a guest in this world for some time to explain Tattavgyan to His devotees, He comes by wearing a body of lighter masses of lights over His actual effulgent body.

  • Yajurved Adhyay 1 Mantra 15

  • This mantra also says "Agne TanuH Asi" but Swamiji has deliberately not done the meaning of this word "Agne" and 11 other words. Please see for yourself below.

This clearly indicates that Swami Dayanand Saraswati was wrong and did not have complete knowledge about God and neither can we say that he was the knower of Vedas. If a few things have been proven wrong then it raises a suspicion on other concepts given by Dayanand Saraswati as well.
